Read what parents are saying about Kerr El SchoolI have been involved with Kerr for 6 years as a parent and have never been disappointed by the teachers or principal. I feel that they know my children and do their best to support their educational and social growth. The school's special teachers (Spanish, instrumental, choral, art, library, computer, gym) are also wonderful. The staff seems to work together and each year my children are growing with their encouragement. The school has a diverse population and I feel that my children benefit from it. I highly recommend Kerr and am so glad my children could attend.
Posted by a parent on 2/10/2014Teachers, administration, and staff are highly invested in the students at Kerr. They show tremendous love and passion for their jobs and truly care about the success of each child in the school. There is such a strong sense of pride in the accomplishments of every individual, focusing on the uniqueness of each child. From day one, the community created by everyone associated with the school is apparent and provides a comfort for parents and students.
Posted by a parent on 2/10/2014My daughter went to the kindergarten this year and she absolutely loved it. Teachers and staff are great and friendly. My daughter had some eating issues beacuse of her medical history in the begining of the school year, which we brought it to the teachers notice. Principal and whole staff as well as the class teacher proactively worked with us to encourage her to eat. I would highly recommened this school. Great teachers and great atmosphere.

I love the way the teachers embrace the new student with concern for the level of education they require for standardized testing. Parents are involved with all aspects of learning here and teachers embrace the unity.Parent Review10y ago - Pittsburgh Sunnyside K-8

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe pandemic destroyed everything we liked about Sunnyside. - A class size that used to be 12, is now close to 30. - My child has had zero homework or projects, and there are only 4 weeks left in the year.- My child is given outside time 0-2 times per week. Sometimes they don't go outside for over a month.- My child does her core schoolwork on the computer 90% of the time, and not on paper or with handouts provided in class.- My child plays Minecraft on the computer for one or more periods a day and is told it's educational.- No paper comes back so I cannot work to correct any errors my child receivea... I have no idea how they earn the grades I see on their report cards.- I have not seen any art projects come home and there are 4 weeks left in the school year.It may seem like the above are not connected to the pandemic, but I had issues with none of the above before 2020. The teachers are now stretched so thin or just too worn down and not able to teach very many minutes in a day.Parent Review2y ago - St Raphael Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two children that attend Christ the divine teacher Catholic Academy. We had attended a Catholic school in the past that had unfortunately closed and we decided to send our kids to Christ the divine. In retrospect it was a blessing in disguise. This is an amazing school with an amazing principal as well as faculty. The curriculum is challenging yet appropriate and the teachers do a fabulous job with the students.Parent Review7y ago - St. Bonaventure School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur daughter has been enrolled at Montessori Centre Academy for the last three years, and we couldn't be happier with every aspect of her experience. Our daughter is positively thriving thanks to MCA's warm environment, absolutely amazing teachers, kind and caring staff, and wonderful facilities. MCA provides a welcoming and intimate environment that's so well-suited for education and all the kids' development as human beings. Our family would highly recommend Montessori Centre Academy to everyone!Parent Review1mo ago
