Strawberry Mansion High School

Giddeon building conditions for the opening day of school (August 25, 2025) was horrible!!! The school district, administrators, and maintenance staff should be ashamed that they would allow ANYONE to come in that building and expect learning to go on. Live and dead mice throughout the building, fleas and rodents are visible all throughout the classrooms, hallways, and bathrooms. Several classrooms still had the same “trash” that was left behind in May. Student and staff bathrooms are FILTHY and only toilet rolls are replaced. No cleaning at all and the majority of sinks are stopped up! The first 3 days, several students and staff left early due to sickness related to these horrible conditions. How does the district and administrators expect teaching and learning to go on with these conditions!!! They need to relocate these students and staff until a thorough deep deep cleaning is done by a professional cleaning service. Philadelphia School District and Administrators should be embarrassed and ashamed for these poor students, teachers, and staff!!! Will involve news and media next if issued not resolved immediately!!

This is one of the worst un professional School's I have ever seen. School starts early this year and most parent's weren't even notified some parent's including myself found out by other parent's spreading the rumor in the neighborhood.

Hi I do not know much about the school I currently live in the neighborhood and because LP Hills closed down another terrible school my children had to attend Blaine but instead I was blessed to be able to enroll them in another school. from what I hear about school it's not good at all but I think it also reflects on community as well.

The principal has no idea what she's doing. Is more concerned about office politics with the sel, who also does nothing constructive all day. Better off working at a school that actually cares about students and supports staff

This school has come a long way. I have two children who attend & Iam very happy with the principal Mr.Davis has really made a difference

My son went to this school for 3 years, everything was great, until he was transferred to the 3 year old classroom. The teacher Stephanie Ceballos, was very disrespectful to me, my mom and my sister. We tried a mediation with the schools director and assistant director and that Monday after our meeting the teacher continue to do the same things we told her not to do. After that, we gave our two weeks notice. One week later we notice some positive changes and I spoke with the director and told her we wanted to continue with the school. But she told me they gave my son spot away. But something told me she wasn't being honest. So one of my coworkers called to get info for her son, which just happened to be 3 years old and potty trained and surprise, they had many spots available. So I wouldn't recommend this school .

my experience at this school has been all around great. My son graduate a couple years ago and he is doing very well at a catholic high school. My daughter will be graduating in June from St. Martin...I will definitely miss the school, the teachers, staff and especially Sr. Meaghan.A parent who loves her child's school
