Spruance Gilbert School

Do not send your kids here. I was helping my friends child with homework . The child is in first grade and unable to read , write, add or subtract. They have less than 1 month of school left. I am appalled and have not seen anything like this. I had to ask what school the child attended so I can warn other parents.

The school itself is a great establishment for students. The teachers are great, polite, and always available for families. The school also provides great resources for their students. The current principal Lauren Sobieski is the total opposite. She is unprofessional, lacks respect and boundaries for families, and she tends to abuse her authority. She does what she wants because there is no one that will tell her otherwise. This school is apart of IMS and they do not help families when there are issues involved with the schools or staff members. IMS is only there to support the principal in their decisions. No one apart of IMS or St Martin of Tours takes accountability for their actions and they do not handle issues appropriately. They are bias and it will always be IMS versus families when problems occur in the schools.

This school is horrible I used to go here and got bullied heavily and was pushed down a flight of stairs by my old classmate and they didn't do anything about it because she was white I would not recommend this school because they are extremely racist

This school is disorganized in all aspects of running an organization. They don’t take responsibility when it comes to bullying and it seems like it’s up to the kids to defend themselves. If your child is into sports through the CYO DO NOT SEND THEM HERE!! There is no sense of urgency in creating an environment that gets students excited about extra curricular activities at all!!! My child has been being harassed all school year and the lack of accountability by teachers and staff is absurd. I have three children going to this school one graduating this year, the staff doesn’t celebrate the accomplishment of graduating students even by showing up for them at their fundraisers. I do not recommend this school at all, it’s one step above public school.
