Rowen William School

I have 3 children that attended Ellwood for the past 2 years. I am quite disappionted in the quality of the school's lack of resources.The staff is very dedicated to helping BOTH the student and the parent's acheive academically. There are some issue's with behavoir as well as lack of staff .Over all the school is very clean and the student's are better than most.I think if the school had more funding Ellmwood could be much better..But this is Philadelphia is'nt it?

I was very excited for my son to start kindergarten at this school and I have been so disappointed. They are understaffed and have way too many children per teacher. My son barely gets homework, and the teacher constantly forgets to send forms home, and inform the parents about early dismissals and days off. My son has come home missing clothing and with bruises from fights but the teacher never mentions it or has any idea about what happened. When picking my son up from school they have lost him 3 times, and I have had family pick him up and they just walked right out with him, no one checked ID or even knew he was gone and who with. I have actually moved to get my son out of this school, it is just unacceptable.

Not good cause I have a niece and nephew that goes to this school and tell me kids bully them

The school year 2011/2012 was the first year that my son attended Hope Church School and I would not recommend this school to anyone. First the teachers are very unprofessional and there is no disipline or structure. The school is not well organize and the lunchroom is in the basement with mold smell.You do not get the your money worth with this school. I did not enroll my son for the 2012/2013 school year. This school did not prepare him for the 8th grade.

The school is terrible and parents are basically paying tuition for a failing school a lot of teacher turn over low test scores an out of touch principal who unorganized and talks at the the kids rather then to them
