The caring teachers, the over-caring principal, the memories I made and the friends I made for life. I went to olc from k-8, but i have to say 6th, 7th and 8th grade was the best time of my life. unfortanly olc is just a memory to me, and everone else, because of the unfair closing. I would go back in a heartbeat. Class of 2012 forever. <3
Posted by a community member on 11/26/2012Olc is a great school. The staff is amazing. You can enter Italian clases, they also have sports your child can play. Alot of people think that this school has bullying, but they dont. And if a child is getting bullied, you report it to the principal, and he will either give the bully two demerits or will have him exspelled, it matters on how bad he was bullied. But who ever says that the school has bullying, they are wrong.All i have to say is that this is a nice little school. And who ever thinks different actually has to go to Olc, like me.

I do not no where all of these positive reviews are coming from!I agree with anyone who writes that there is a bullying problem at this school.....The students who attend this school are generally disrespectful and need to be more socially democratic.My son has had a terrible time here and will not be coming back next year!they enforce this bullying policy but it sure does not stick.Do not send your child to OLC if you do not want to be disaapointed!
Posted by a parent on 3/7/2010Our Lady of Consolation is a great catholic school and parish. The staff and principal go out of their way to make it a great place for their students to learn and grow. When your children get out of the car in the morning look back at you and smile you know they are going somewhere they love!

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy autistic son attended the school for less than two months, and I had to remove him. There is no type of discipline or structure in the school principal vice principal. Everyone in the school has very poor communication.. My 10 year old unfortunately is still there. His grades suffered throughout his time at Saint Matt's and now that he is in high school he is a straight a student!!! His teachers love him and he has met some really great people. He is no longer hanging with the wrong crowds and getting into trouble. Saint Matthew is a very clicky school. If you're not in church every sunday or a practicing catholic you will see the difference in how your child is treated. Catholic school was my only option as my child was unable to get into charter.
