We have been at FFS for three years now, and both of my children are thriving. The response to the pandemic was impressive, and the school was open safely as soon as possible, and continues to use effective safety protocols. The teachers have been loving and effective educators. They also go above and beyond to make reasonable accommodations when I've needed them to, to help my children thrive. Communication is great, and the teaching is very creative. I honestly couldn't ask for more. In the past, it seems there was a change of administration and some teacher turn-over, but these "growing pains" seem to have paid off. They school is very organized and continues to improve each year. It is academically rigorous while still allowing children to be children, without homework until 3rd grade. The kids at FFS have ample recess time, and are allowed to play with toys in Kindergarten and 1st grade and aren't expected to sit at desks. There are chickens that the children take care of, and a beautiful outdoor space with grass and trees. When it snows, they go play in the snow. It's a very special place.
