Bright Beginnings Preschool

My daughter attended Kindergarten this past year at the ECC and I couldn't be happier! This school has exceeded my expectations for a half day Kindergarten. The teacher she had was outstanding, and the others I met through parental volunteering were just as wonderful on a personal level.

Hershey Elementary school does a wonderful job of balancing child encouragement, teacher support and administrator involvement. The PTO is first rate, giving their time, money and talents to provide support wherever it is needed. I am proud to be a parent of two daughters who have had the privilege of being a part of this school community.

Good: My child is improving in writing! Less cliques in the school yard. Improving: This school has a lot of potential for excellence now that a new administration has been implemented. In the future, communication between parents and teachers will likely improve if school district administrators require teachers to be more accessible. Teachers that respond to emails and participate in parent-teacher conferences are helpful to parents as it enables them to work as a team rather then in silos. It is hopeful that teaching methods, books and overall building wear and tear will be updated in the near future. Curriculum improvements might include more learner led and project based type of differentiated learning activities. Repetitive busywork, worksheets and excessive homework drills might be replaced with more interactive, high interest content. Also, a stronger emphasis in differentiated instruction and teacher rotation are key steps in creating life-long learners! Currently, I would recommend this school for mainstream direct- instruction regular-ed learning types. Lots of football players and team spirit in this school! Go Cougars!

My 9 year old Daughter loves Pine.The Staff really cares about her.At parent ,teacher conf. teachers really listen and explain things. I am very happy with pine.

We've been very happy with this school. My daughter attended all of K and over 1/2 of 1st grade there. Her teachers have amazing. The YMCA also had a SACC or wraparound program there and they are wonderful. Couldn't have been happier honestly.
