OLA Regional School is an innovative, supportive, forward thinking school that enables their students to successfully move on to high school with the confidence and educational base to be successful. My daughter graduated from OLA and has had many of her high school teachers compliment her on her superb educational background. I completely credit the amazing teachers from OLA for her current success.

I went here and the bullying was horrendous but only for the unpopular boys it was very sexist

Excellent school! I currently have 3 children enrolled. The oldest is graduating this year and received a partial academic scholarship to Roman Catholic High School. I give credit to OLPH.

While OLPH is a wonderful school for behavioral and religious education, I find the academic opportunities and challenges they provide for students in pre-K through fourth grade to be incredibly disappointing. If your student comes to pre-K knowing his alphabet or numbers, or has basic phonics skills, there is very little in the way of differentiation to address his needs; much, if not all, the attention goes to helping the other students "catch up" and prepare for Kindergarten. Once in Kindergarten, if your child is already reading and counting to 100, so much of the year seems spent on re-teaching what was already covered in pre-K. This trend continues until fifth grade, where they finally offer an "honors" course for mathematics, although no such courses are available for reading. Don't get me wrong: This is a wonderful school full of wonderful people, and I am happy with the moral education that my son has received, but I am frustrated by the fact that I must sacrifice academic rigor for a faith-based education. In a public school, I would have the right to ask for and receive GIEP accommodations. At OLPH, I can merely mention my concerns and hope for the best.
