Read what parents are saying about Penn Manor High SchoolRebuilt in 2022. The school is modern and tech friendly. New state of the art labs make this a really cool place for students to learn and make lasting memories. I went here in 2001-2004 and moved to Millersville with my family to get away from SDoL and have been impressed with Eschelman Elem, and PMHS. The taxes are reasonable and my kids have A’s and B’s. What more can you ask for?
Posted by a parent on 11/26/2023I highly recommend this school to anyone. I feel that Penn Manor gives a high level of education to all students. I have enjoyed every teacher I have had. They are always respectful and willing to help you with anything. The administration does its best to resolve issues between students and keep our school a great place to be. Penn Manor has a wide variety of opportunities including many sports, a large Ag Program, a large music and theater program, and many more. The school offers a wide variety of classes and the counselors do their best to assist students with finding the right classes to take. Along with all of this, the school was just majorly renovated and is now updated with many new things for the students to use and take advantage of.
Posted by a student on 10/28/2023I had a terrible experience at this high school. The teachers were unprofessional and did not seem to care about their students' success. The courses were disorganized, and the material was poorly presented, making it difficult to learn anything. The facilities were also run-down and dirty, which did not create a conducive learning environment. To make matters worse, the guidance counselors were abysmal. The overall staff was rude and unhelpful, and they often gave conflicting information, causing confusion and frustration. When I tried to address my concerns with the principals, I was met with dismissive and unresponsive attitudes, which made it clear that they did not value my feedback.Overall, this high school is not one for your child to attend. It is a waste of time and money, and I regretted enrolling there. Save yourself the trouble and find a better high school that truly cares about its students' success.
Posted by a community member on 2/21/2023I feel the education I received during my time at Penn Manor adequately prepared me for college and helped me earn my bachelor's degree in 3.5 years. The administration and staff at PM were great. Most took the time to get to know me as an individual and made attending a good experience. They were always ready to help if needed. Now that I am married and starting a family, we have moved back into the Penn Manor School district so that our children can have the same educational opportunities that I had as a student. I would highly recommend this district (and I can specifically vouch for Conestoga Elem., Marticville Middle, and Penn Manor HS) to anyone!

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is our first year at Lafayette. I think the principal and staff are wonderful. There are after school activities, sports and groups that meet. There are free breakfasts and lunches for all students, regardless of income. What I feel is lacking is the gifted/ accelerated program. But there is a wonderful warmth and diversity to the school that lacks in many suburban schools. The school is working hard to improve parent involvement and there is a strong anti-bullying program implemented. I would recommend this school.Parent Review14y ago - Elizabeth R Martin El School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA lot of fighting is happening. The teacher act like they don’t want to help you and be mean, look at you ,like you did something wrong. And makes you feel like you did something wrong by the way they talk to you.The teacher looked at me raising my hand and ignored me when I need help. I go up to them for help they say they can’t help me.Student Review2y ago - Price El School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur daughter attended NSM for third grade and half of fourth grade, and while she was happy and academically stimulated in the lowerelementary class, she was bullied and taunted in her upper elementaryclass. In lower elementary, her teachers were incredibly nurturing and wefelt that she was part of a kind, open, and accepting community. Herteachers got her excited about new topics like deep time, history andgeography.Upper elementary, unfortunately, was a nightmare. She was physicallyattacked, isolated, excluded, and bullied daily. A pair boys took tofrequently calling her a "nerd" and a "dork." Our daughter reportedthat a group of students never seemed to be engaged in their work butinstead spent their time in the hallway gossiping and taunting others. After she started waking up in the middle of the night shaking andtalking about feeling deeply isolated at the school, we decided topull her out mid-year.While initially thought NSM would be a good fit because it emphasizesallowing children to follow their passions, we found that few of ourdaughter's peers seemed interested in academics which deepened herisolation. Our daughter often spent less than an hour a week on mathat the school, and while she learned no new math in a year and a halfat NSM (she did get extra practice on material she'd already learned),we were fortunate to find that Mathnasium was able to rekindle herinterest in the subject and keep her learning.Reflecting on our daughter's unhappy experience in upper elementary,we think there are some random reasons things didn't go well for her, like ending up in a class with a group of kids she didn't connectwith. We also think there were more systemic reasons, such as the verysmall class size, the lack of emphasis on academics, and thepermissive environment. Our daughter's experience at NSM was by no means universal, and wehope that sharing their experience will provide more information tofamilies considering the school. Our daughter is now thriving bothsocially and academically in her local public school.Parent Review1y ago - Way of Jesus Academy
