Read what parents are saying about Ardmore Avenue SchoolStaff is caring. New school looks amazing. They have been through many principals but the teachers stay the same.
Posted by a parent on 5/30/2015Ardmore Avenue has potential to be better. Now that Mr. Timothy McKay is the principal I think the school's culture has changed for the better. The teachers are good and they care about students who come to school to learn. Given the lousy school district we're in I think the teachers do a great job. Mrs Jones and Mrs Griffith are great and they interact with the parents to ensure that everyone has the same goal in mind. If these teachers were provided with the right resources such as up to date classroom technology and school funding to implement more programs, I believe Ardmore could be a great school. But we cant place the blame all on the schools and the teachers. As parents we are the first educators, so a child is only going to do as they were taught. So if every parent communicated effectively with their child's teacher and showed some type of involvement I believe Ardmore could be the shining star in the William Penn School District. 2012 school year

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageStarted my son here this year and I am so glad we chose this school. He had a hard time adjusting to a school environment after being home with me full time leading up to this. They have helped him every step of the day and go out of their way to make him comfortable while helping grow his independence. His knowledge has greatly grown as well in the time he’s been there and communication with the entire staff is great.Parent Review2mo ago - Lansdowne Friends School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a two-mom, biracial household, we feel lucky that we found LFS, a school that respects and celebrates diversity. We appreciate that the teachers at LFS care about my our child's needs--both academically and socially. We love the fact that our child has the opportunity to attend a school that values the ideals of gentle teaching; a place where my child feels nurtured, respected, secure, seen and heard. Our daughter, currently in Pre-K, comes home so excited to teach us everything that she has learned. In short the school has been a great academic, social, and financial fit for our household.Parent Review2y ago - Sonshine Christian Academy
