Both very different in their personality and learning, but both have or had wonderful experiences and received a great education academically and in terms of instilling character. My graduate was well prepared for college through her educational at AfS.
Posted by a parent on 3/11/2018My son attended from K - 12 and received an excellent academic education. I feel the values imparted by the school are even more important. He is kind, generous, has empathy toward others, and is emotionally intelligent. He is invested in his community and gives back by organizing and participating in charity events to benefit the underserved.He looks back at his years at AFS with gratitude. This is the education every child deserves. Our family had an excellent experience with the staff and educators. It was worth every penny!

Posted by a parent on 8/21/2017Both of our children have been at Abington Friends School since the start of Kindergarten. We chose AFS for the nurturing environment and values based education. We have stayed at AFS through Upper School for the academic rigor, the passionate, innovative educators and the focus on fostering creative and independent thinkers with a life long love of learning,

Pulling out of our public elementary and enrolling here at St Hilary was a scary decision but my Daughter was suffering emotionally in her old school and the school was not supportive, at all. She now thanks us almost weekly for transferring her to St Hilary. She’s doing amazing in all aspects and I feel as we got our Daughter back as a whole, regained her smile and her confidence. She is so happy, as are we. Values and good decisions are core here at St Hilary. In today’s society, it is so important and not often seen in other schools. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf parents only knew what the signed up for...Most people think they are sending their child to a school...where they will learn.. yes they do learn...more negative behaviors..this school is now a behavioral institution.. they cut the kids off from even use of the playground, when senior staff is mad...it's no structure..kids are allowed to do whatever but school work..severely under staffed!! They don't allow staff to speak with parents, so parents don't know what is being done...if you a parent ..please don't wait until IEP to know...and Jamie J is NOT your friend..her goal is to fill classrooms to pay senior staff salary..Parent Review1mo ago
