Excellent school for its size. Facility is well maintained. Look up their PA future readiness index and you will see all criteria being met for post secondary and college readiness. Also offer many many different dual enrollment options.

My daughter attended this school until early high school when we moved to another district. She was constantly bullied not just by students but the teachers who don't know how to choose their battles and constantly nitpick at things they shouldn't instead of focusing on education which is severely lacking. In 7th grade she was reading on a 3rd grade reading level and division wasn't taught until 6th grade. She wasn't getting the help and support needed to succeed. When we moved to another school they pushed her and got her improved several levels in math and reading in less than a year. It's a shame how Penns Manor just pushes these kids through with the bare minimum (no child left behind what a joke, more like children who struggle are looked over) I'm so glad we switched she's happier and tries harder because she doesn't have someone telling her she isn't capable

To paraphrase Ben Kenobi, "This is not the school you are looking for." As a student, your child can expect the bare minimum regarding the reaching of his or her potential. How do I know this? I was a student who attended the Penns Manor Area School district from grade 5 through 12. I spent numerous years bullied and assaulted by other students sans support from any teacher. My academic abilities thus suffered as a result. A former high school guidance counselor remarked to me at one point that, instead of college, I should aim for a career in the military. Don't get me wrong; a military career is fine for those who aspire to cannon fodder but imagine the damage that is done to a child who hears this. In spite of this, I chose to go on to attend college. I would write more but, I suspect that by now you've already made up your mind due to a lack of aspiration on your part for yourself and your child. Pity the child, not the parent and heed my words; review the statistics here and elsewhere and see if your child is likely to thrive or fail in the global marketplace when it comes time to work there.

I graduated from Penns Manor a few years ago, and never really appreciated how lucky I was to go there until I heard about some of the other schools in the state. Penns Manor has excellent teachers. The smallness of the district provides a better educational experience, with the teachers having more time to focus on the needs of the students. It has great academic programs and opportunities for students to participate in after school activities, including sports, arts like musical chorus and band, as well as more academic clubs like FBLA, Spanish & French Club, and of course the Academic Games. The school's support of such activities makes it great. Parental involvement in band and sports boosters are also appreciated. The English department is great for preparing students for college, and the math and computer science departments do an excellent job as well.
