Valley View does not provide the academic quality education to prepare for college. My four children made so many good friends at this school but none were prepared to even complete Community College course work. The teachers low salary may be the reason for their lack of interest & motivation for their students. Very few graduates go onto College and even less remain in college.

This school hasn't changed since the 70's. It is a very political school. I personally seen teachers who have previous teaching experience and had to fight tooth and nail to get a teaching job at this school, than there are some who are very young with no prior experience who get a position within the school because of who they know. The school is very clicky and they do not follow a school uniform policy. Some girls get away with wearing short shirts and some do not. Every student is supposed to wear a polo shirt without a logo and all polos have logos. Some students wear express, abrecrombie, and some wear kmart. Students can tell who has money and who doesn't. This leads to discrimination of students. The middle school vice principal is very demeaning to both the students and to parents who are the same age if not older than him. As I said in the beginning, this school hasn't changed since the 70's. If you live in one of the mini mansions in the area, your kids will do find in this school, as for all others your children may to attend a different school or reach out for counseling services.

This school not only breeds poor sportsmanship, they encourage it. The staff and administration are politically driven, and they ignore the rules for the right people. A subpar education with poor attitudes and morals.

This school treats the students like they are in prison. There are way to many rules. They are students not prisoners. If you are not smart, a cheerleader, or play sports, you are treated as an outcast. If you can't keep up with the rest of the class they put you in a closet with the work that you dont understand, instead of taking a few minutes to explain it to you. My daughter was given 5 days suspension for having a cell phone in the class. I wonder if the kid that videoed the teacher beating another student recently on the news got 5 days suspension.
