I went to this school since I was 4 years old when I attended it’s first pre-k program, and left the district after eighth grade. Those ten years seemed to get progressively worse and worse. Pre-k through 4th grade at this school is fine, as long as you don’t get certain teachers. However, after fourth grade it all goes down hill. Teachers have favorites, some of the teachers are actual bullies, and the administration isn’t very helpful. The two ladies who work in the office know more about the goings-ons in the school than any other adult. Artistic departments are underfunded. The math classes before 7th grade don’t engage students at all. Only one math teacher in the entire school (the one I had for my last two years) managed to keep me engaged. Some of my teachers would yell at the class constantly. Maybe not the most alarming thing until you realize these were the teachers I had when I was around 6-8 years old. I was terrified of them and had gone home with a different set of clothes multiple times because I was too scared to ask to go to the bathroom. And from the statistics I see here, it seems that the curriculum isn’t very good either. The dress code is also extremely strict. No hoodies, no mismatched socks, no sweaters that aren’t school colors. (Of course, unless you’re a favorite, then you could basically get away with murder.) The only positive things I can say about this school is that the pre-k program has a lovely teacher, there are a handful of great teachers who’ve made an impact on my life for the better, and the gifted classes are good. I would bring up the music department as well, however it is so severely underfunded I’m scared that in a few years time it won’t even exist anymore. Long story short, i don’t recommend this school, and if you do go to it, I recommend leaving before high school.

This school has a horrible staff. The teachers are bullies and disrespectful to the childeren. The office staff always has an rude attitude. The principle seems to never care about what the staff dose and when brought up nothing is done. All students are reprimanded the same no mater their age, kindergarten are punished like the 5th to 8th grade. This school needs to put the childeren first. A happy student makes for a smart one.

There are 0 positives to this elementary school system. Poor deprived area economically. The principal supports the less than desirable parents that are a part of this school, I assume to receive funding. Principal will lie along with the schools employees after telling you something completely different. Seek a private school if you decide to educate your children in the area, you will be much happier.
