Posted by a community member on 4/7/2024I threatened me with a referral after an 8 day old thing I stopped with. It just does not care about kids, lures them in. The only redeeming qualities are the teachers and students.I give mount tabor school 0 out of 5 stars.

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLots of fundraisers. Our family spent over $300 in the first 6 months of kindergarten before ultimately deciding to leave for a different school. Heavy push on LGBTQIA in the first quarter of the year. There were reports of the "n" word being used on the playground. Children often being physically bullied and injured by other students with no changes to class placement. SPED team was basically 1 person spread too thin and a counselor. Doors to students often opened late in the morning but were locked promptly at start time due to staffing reasons. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSt. Rose is FUN! The classes are small, engaging, and the staff love the kids. Everybody knows everybody and the community support is out of this world. I popped into mass today, which the kiddos attend every Wednesday. Fr. Matt referenced baseball, Nintendo, and Star Wars during his sermon. The kids were engaged and interactive. It was FUN. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf your child is not white, male, and a Christian who doesn't ask hard questions (we read Leviticus at school, and I was chastised for trying to question and understand how God could be so cruel to the people he created), this school is NOT for them. Blatant homophobia, racism, sexism and even abuse were fully tolerated and sometimes even perpetrated by teachers, the principal, and administration. Girls are blamed and asked if they covered well enough when they are sexually harassed. One girl in my class started to cry because our teacher was belittling her family's Roman Catholic beliefs (in front of everyone.) It got so bad that I started recording specific incidents along with times and dates in a notebook, and even had classmates to back up my story. Absolutely NOTHING was done by the principal (Mrs. Vensel) or any other staff for that matter. Instead they ostracized me and made me feel so discluded that I ended up leaving the school and questioned my faith.Other Review9mo ago - Belmont Academy
