The issue with the school lies in the administration rather than the Teachers. Unknowledgeable front office staff, absent principal, uncaring counselors and leaders. I honestly have no idea how the principal became a principal - she is terrible at administration, she makes children feel bad and pushes her own propaganda and opinions on them. It's disgusting. The dualingual program they have is a joke. There

My oldest son participates in multiple gratuitous after school activities, including chess, bilingual drama club, band, soccer, math enrichment and ballet folklorico. My youngest enjoys zumba and ballet folklori
Posted by a parent on 4/10/2015I have been very happy with this school. My children are learning two languages at the same time both spoken and academic. The teachers are great and teach the student in new and fun ways. I would highly recommend this school to anyone.

Unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated over the past couple years and I see no real improvement happening anytime soon. The communication with families about what is going on at school is abysmal, there are a burdensome number of required volunteer obligations that don’t take working parents into account, there aren’t enough staff to properly supervise the younger kids. We also have zero insight into the curriculum. Other schools post them on their website, but Saint Matthew does not. When I asked my child’s teacher for a copy of the curriculum, I was told it wasn’t available. And there really is a bullying problem. Overall this has been a disappointing experience.Parent Review1mo ago
