Posted by a community member on 9/20/2025I almost got beaten up here, and the teachers did not care one bit. The "dual language" is a joke; they don't *teach* you Spanish, they just speak it and expect you to understand everything. Out of every teacher I've spoke too, there's at least 3-5 good teachers.

Posted by a parent on 4/12/2012The principal of Eastwood is the 2nd longest termed principal in the Hillsboro school district. This is Eastwood's #1 problem. They have no where else to put her so they stuck her at Eastwood. She is unprofessional, disrespectful and incompetent. She is hardly ever at the school, and does not attend

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAt first, we really liked Saint Matthew for our children. Unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated over the past couple years and I see no real improvement happening anytime soon. The communication with families about what is going on at school is abysmal, there are a burdensome number of required volunteer obligations that don’t take working parents into account, there aren’t enough staff to properly supervise the younger kids. We also have zero insight into the curriculum. Other schools post them on their website, but Saint Matthew does not. When I asked my child’s teacher for a copy of the curriculum, I was told it wasn’t available. And there really is a bullying problem. Overall this has been a disappointing experience.Parent Review3mo ago
