Barlow is a school with many problems. Majority of these are resulting from the lower level staff and administration. There are many instances of unfair treatment between students by staff (you can get away with just about anything if youre goody goody enough with the right staff/teachers) theres also a bright side to the school though, good teachers are not impossible to find, each year i had at least 1 teacher that I could look up to and were positive influences to all the students. While with others, I found it hard to recognize how they EVER got into teaching our future generations. It's sad to see, some put all their effort into the school and students, while others put all their work on the students and bash their entire class if the teaching methods they use suck.(because they obviously put NO effort into thinking it up) I had a decent time at Barlow in my 4 years as a student, but thats because most the students are open to new friends, (unless u want to be a 'cool' guy, most of the more known kids are very pretentious and will look down on u no matter what. the school has a very strong religious stripe coursing through it) all in all, if u have a choice, dont go to Barlow.

Trash. The school is trash. Nothing more, nothing less.... The school is like a factory. They try to ship(graduate) students out of that building as cheaply as possible. They don't care about the quality of the education.

There are many programs available to help students be successful during their time at SBHS as well as when they go on to either college or the work force. My family, as well as the teachers at Barlow, have always encouraged me to take the higher level classes (Honors/AP) and I have noticed that the teachers of those classes go above and beyond in order to help their students succeed, but the same can not be said for all of the teachers. While there are ample educational opportunities, the administration/support staff seem as though the power has gone to their heads and make seemingly nonsensical rules without justification that we are required to follow.
