Read what parents are saying about North Middle SchoolHated it. Rude teachers, horrible experience there isnt even locks on bathroom stalls
Posted by a parent on 8/2/2018Haven't been terribly pleased with the staff at the school. There are a select few that stand out but overall the feeling of the school is generic & impersonal. Wish they were a bit more organized & efficient. The Principle does seem to make efforts to engage & be proactive but if the rest of the staff doesn't comply what good is it?
Posted by a parent on 2/9/2016The North Middle School administration and staff make the school an open and welcome environment. The administration and staff care deeply about every students education and take extra steps and measures in order to make them successful. From my experience, almost all of the staff at North are always happy to be there for the students.
Posted by a community member on 8/13/2015North Middle School is an excellent and fun school to be at. The staff are very caring of every students education and always help them become successful. The campus is fairly nice looking and has much to offer. There are also Orchestra, Choir, and Band programs that make this district one of the best to be in. The only downside is that some teachers are very grumpy (7th grade only, really). Overall, this school is a wonderful school, and I will sincerely miss this school as I move on to Grants Pass High School.
Posted by a student on 7/27/2015My son started North this year under the complete understanding that we are in Grants Pass on a temporary basis while my husband is deployed. My son has had four surgeries on his ears in the past six months and his hearing is not quite the same due to a congenital defect. My issue with the school is that they won't even give me the time of day when it comes to finding someone to discuss this with. My child can't hear. He has issues hearing the bell, and they think that in school suspension is the best way to proceed for him being tardy a few seconds to class. I disagree. There was also an issue with a PE teacher. My son's little flip phone fell out of his locker. He grabbed it, and the PE teacher confiscated it. I have no problem with that, but instead of bringing the phone to the office after school, I spent an hour there trying to locate it because instead of having some courtesy for MY time, he chose to take it to football practice with him. Not only that, but another child stated "well, he lets us use our phones." The other child is a football player. Because my son isn't, I feel like he was treated unfairly. I am absolutely thrilled that we are moving.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy 3 and 5 year-olds both attend Brighton Academy. I am happy to report that all of the adults we have met have been lovely including Laura in the office Mrs. Pia, Mrs. D, Mrs. Martin, and Mrs Elizabeth. The other parents we've met are all healthy and kind and report their satisfaction with the school. Even interactions with the older students seem overwhelmingly positive. There are very few behavioral issues in either class and the class sizes and adult ratios are unmatched. We will happily continue to send our children to Brighton Academy because of the class sizes, the positive adult and student culture, and the relatively inexpensive costs for a private school. Five stars.Parent Review4mo ago - St Anne Catholic School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my daughters attended this school. One of them started there in Kindergarten and the other at 2.mx grade. We were at the school for 7 years. We had an excellent experience. The students have a great faith filled academic opportunity. The school was and continues to be like a family to us.Other Review8y ago - Grants Pass Seventh-Day Adventist School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school from kindergarten through 10th grade. I am very grateful that I was given that experience. The teachers actually cared enough about us that we were given individualized instruction, allowing us to learn at a more rapid pace and in an environment that we could thrive. The staff didn't just teach Christianity and Christian values, they lived them out. I still hold deep respect for the mentors I had throughout that portion of my life, and I would highly recommend this school, not just for the knowledge that is passed on, but for the caring people that fill its halls.Other Review9y ago - Josephine County Christian School
