My 3 siblings go to Sheldon and they love it. My sister just graduated spring of 2023 in IHS with a scholarship to the university of Oregon and a GPA of 4.0. She also graduated from regular high school with a GPA of 4.0. My other sister is a Junior, she is in IHS too, she failed English once, so her teacher walked her thru the whole class again, gave her the assignments to work on, then made her corrections and she passed. My brother is on the football team and he is also a regular student that is treated fairly. His teachers want to talk to him about his grades, they want to help him approve, they also tell my parents about his grades and they also help. I really am excited to go to Sheldon, and I hope I do well like my siblings. Ignore the comments that say Sheldon only cares about the athletes that are wealthy, they care about IHS, regular students, other programs, like pizza Wednesday in the church across the street that my brother goes to every Wednesday for lunch with his friends. Sheldon does not want your money, they want to educate you kids, help them in life, and get them ready for collage. I have been to many events at Sheldon, and never felt left out, the teachers wanted to talk to me, see what I had plans for the summer, and also help me in 8th grade next year. I felt very included and so did my siblings.

I attended school at Sheldon and had a wonderful experience. There are so many extracurriculars to take advantage of, especially in sports and music. I help coach there now and the district is slowly updating the girls sporting facilities, which is great. They have IHS (international high school), and honors programs students can take which include AP and IB classes. Great teachers and staff as well. Not perfect, but a great learning environment for those who want to learn and be involved

I went to many different schools and Sheldon was by far the best school I attended. Their academics are absolutely wonderful, the teachers and staff are great and accommodating. They also have a good range of classes to choose from. I am disappointed to see all the negative reviews saying they only care about their athletes. I highly disagree, I did not play sports at Sheldon and was treated very fairly, I never saw any bullying, there were 'clicks' so to say but there were also people for the different 'clicks' that were friends with others so it was never an issue. I believe Sheldon is BY FAR one of the best highscools in Lane County. Upon moving home from California I moved my family back into the Sheldon school district solely so my children could attend Sheldon and get a quality education.

Unfortunately, this school focuses way more on athletics than academics and there are way too many children who slip through the cracks. My son and daughter have both attended this school and neither enjoyed it. It is a very wealthy, snobby school focused on athletics, who you know and who has money. Too many students at this school to have any one on one time when needed. I have moved my daughter to a different, much better high school.
