I graduated from Churchill in 2009. I was part of IHS and it was an incredible program that prepared me for college so much better than my friends who were not part of that program. I would strongly recommend it to anyone! They also offer a wide array of high quality AP classes and free college now classes. This allowed me to gain college credit for every class I took starting my junior year. I also had total say of my schedule and was able to work in an internship my senior year and my transition to college was smoother than I think it would have if I had had adults looking over my shoulder every step of the way. However, while the school worked great for me and many others, it left struggling students behind and offered no effective support, leading several intelligent but disorganized people I knew to drop out. They all felt like the adults at that school were pushing them toward dropping out, rather than finding a way to work with them. I understand the school has changed its structure, I'm assuming in an effort to better support these students, but as of 2014, I know the school was still struggling in this area. Until this school figures out how to better serve ALL its students, I can't give it a better rating.

Both my children attended Churchill. They have a nice variety of academic pathways for students to choose from. My son and daughter both were able to start at higher level college courses, due to the AP and LCC options at Churchill.

The school offers four year International High School which is the same program at South Eugene & Sheldon HS. They work together at IHS conferences yearly. They also have newly constructed STEM(science tech engineering math building) and a WISE (women in science and engineering) program offered to female students. School offers great athletic, arts and science extracurricular activities. IHS, Rachel Carson, AVID and Project Success are available in conjunction with standard Churchill curriculum. Free College Now classes are offered through LCC (math) and IHS offers IB classes and Churchill offers AP classes. The school has a variety of religious & ethnic groups plus wide economic levels giving students a world view with international exchange students too.

My children have gone to Churchill for the last four years. Over the last few years the school has really gone down hill. New principal is more focused on social issues and less on education. The bright spot for this school are the International High School, AP classes and the computer classes, that's were the great teachers are! I highly recommend that you consider the International program. The teachers really care, the students are dedicated to learning and they will be ready for college. The Cross Country, Track and Football Programs have great coaches that really care about the kids. Sadly, that can not be said about the Boy's basketball program. If your child is lucky enought to get the right teachers, they can get a better than average education. But you as a parent will have to stay on top of it for all four years.

I went to this school for my 4 years of high school They have plenty of AP classes and CAMs to choose from. The Track and Cross country program is very good. The coaches are the best and most compassionate I have seen. They really care about their athletes. The teachers are also very good. They truly want you to succeed. Most kids are pretty nice and I made a lot of good friend. The school also has pretty small classes which are very helpful for a lot of students and you get more teacher time. I would definitely recommend this school.
