Corbett School

The school administration targets bipoc and low income children with unjustifiable suspensions, they overlook bullying from kids whose parents work at or work with the school administration or the school board, and it creates a hostile learning environment for the students. They don’t help kids with disabilities, they literally pass them through every class on paper, without actually helping them gain any meaningful knowledge to help them thrive in life.

Admin has no interest in listening to parents or community regarding important issues: bullying, budget, accountability, AP for all, and much more. If you’re not on board with their agenda they have no use for you. It’s a super sad time for many families in the CSD. We pulled our kids out because of the ineptitude and their lack of interest in doing what is best for students, families, and our community.

The school sucks but I'd rather deal with groups of 12 boys juuling in the bathroom than actual peer pressure and drugs

Terrible! The bullying problem here is way out of control! Kids are bullied by their peers as well as some of the staff. The victims Of bullying get suspended, sent home, & in some cases end up getting transferred to another school without the parents knowledge or consent. They don't care about the students. They act like the parents have no say when it comes to their child's education.

From what I know and have seen, I don't agree with how they re class rooms share 2 different age group's. To me it gives room for a child's learning ability to slack. The staff has about 3 out 30 people I've meet or pasted in the hall way that are actually nice. They all look like they need a vacation. This school to me expects more from the community in funds than teaching children. This school once had a name for its self but, honestly needs to be properly reviewed.
