Learning Years Day School

Last year, a parent visiting the cafeteria with their child, witnessed a teacher yelling and pulling another child's arm who was not paying attention in the cafeteria, and we brought it up to the principal, and since then the parents privilege to be in the cafeteria has been taken away and they did not do anything about that teacher . My kinder also stated they saw mommy and daddy arguing a while ago and a teacher instead of calling me, called DHS and they came to my home to investigate and nothing came out of it but i spoke to the principal. I transferred my kid out.

If you enjoy a very strict brand of Christianity that believes God is fearful and intolerant, this is your school. However, if you follow the learning of Jesus's love and understanding towards "all" people, please be led to a better learning environment. As of just last year, the teachers and leaders were much more welcoming to others and seemingly more kind to the children as well. Bullying (such as repeated notes to die and cruel birthday wishes) were merely brushed off by the staff. There are so many toxic examples from the staff and children from the middle school in particular. As an awarded educator of both private and public schools, it is disheartening to see this kind of education existing today. "Love is patient, love is kind" truly exists outside of this space.

While my children also attended St. Cecilia for secondary school, the Middle School experience cemented my satisfaction with the academic education at St. Cecilia. Children are taught the study skills and foundations to thrive academically in high school. The school mirrors the faith based values of our household and it provides the environment to foster self confidence, community and a love of learning.
