I have four children and they have all attended Carnegie. I’ve seen many teachers come and go over the years at this school but some core ones have remained and that seems to set a higher bar for new hires compared to most schools. This school attracts good teachers that care about kids. The culture is one of learning and discipline problems and any bullying is addressed swiftly. It really is a peaceful atmosphere for an elementary school and kids who behave are the norm. Kindergarten and first grade teams are phenomenal.

Horrible school as far as leadership. The teachers were great, but were limited by the principal. She was rarely at the school and when she was, she was in her luxury office with the door shut. Avoids any type of communication. Extremely pretentious. Suspends students without even letting parents know. I had to threaten a lawsuit to get my child’s record cleared. Do not recommend.

This school is a danger to children’s safety and mental health and should be shut down!

We really love this school. As an international family, we felt very welcomed here. The teachers are kind and supportive, and our daughter is happy and confident. She was in another school before with a higher rating, but we like McClure much more — they respect her personality and help her grow without pressure.

I can't say enough about how much the teachers at Monte Cassino care about their students. Monte Cassino exceeded my expectations in being a school that supports all of the child. My child started in 7th grade, so it wasn't an easy time to drop into a school. However, the school did everything in their power to make him feel safe, heard, and welcome. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved. There are always fun events going on, and whether you partake in them or not, there is always a welcoming attitude My child has some academic and social challenges, and Monte Cassino was able to give him the academic and emotional support he needed. I am certain that Monte Cassino contributed positively towards my son succeeding in high school, as well as his higher education, whatever that may be. Another thing that impressed me was the fact that Monte Cassino teaches the kids about all of the major religions of the world. I find that very refreshing, especially considering Monte Cassino is a Catholic school. I highly recommend this school. The teachers as well as staff will always hold a special place in my heart.
