Read what parents are saying about Nathan Hale High Schoolis the best school if I was still a kid I would use it again
Posted by a parent on 11/30/2022This school was amazing I loved my teachers they really cared for me and the softball team was nice too.
Posted by a student on 9/15/2020I rate it 3/5. There are things that make it worthwhile, like the teachers and a handful of the students, but things are consistently unorganized and the principal is not good for the state of the school.
Posted by a student on 9/2/2017Very disappointing to find out the high school and middle school both give partial credit for missing homework or projects in math and science. My son struggled with math and science and this school did nothing to help boost his skills. Math and science are the lowest performance areas for these two schools. Can we say 'Padding your scores" all under the rouse of a Finland study. You take away the partial credit for missing assignments and my son was failing as were the majority in the class. Administration is unprofessional and overall disappointing but TPS gets what it pays for. So, honestly what can you expect from a district with despicable superintendent leadership to support and motivate school administrators and teachers. Sorry TPS HALE we had to move from you district!
Posted by a parent on 5/5/2015I was a student until 2001 here. I have great memories of it all for the most part. I did feel, like others, that some of the teachers left something to be desired but I also had really great teachers who really put in full effort to help us understand and love learning. No school is going to have 100% staff that is completely amazing but I had great teachers. There was never any conflicts or issues with other students and if there was it was very quickly handled. I believe my daughter will attend here. I think the culinary program is an awesome addition but we have awhile and anything can change. I hate for a school to get a bad rep because of a few "bad apples".

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe were excited to send our son to Hoover, in the autism program. But that excitement quickly faxed when he began coming home with bruises and finger print marks from being grabbed and treated roughly. I walked up to the classroom and heard my son being yelled at more than once. My child is non verbal so he cannot tell me what goes on. Also the teacher was unwilling to communicate with me regarding issues with my son, his school work, or anything. I tried to give them a chance and spoke to them about my concerns but ultimately pulled my son due to really bad bruising and scratch marks that he came home with and no explanation from the teacher. I really did have a lot of respect for the principal, I think she wanted to work on the issues and I believe her to be a good principal. However, the teacher seemed to dislike my child and so we have moved our child to another school.Parent Review6y ago - Lindbergh Elementary School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI feel like this school has improved over the years, I really appreciate my child's teachers working with me to help my child succeed, even when he had some difficulty comprehending expected behavior. I get great communication from his teacher on his weaknesses and when he is improving in general as a student. My responsibility as his parent is to teach him at home the fundamentals of growing up, hygiene, manners, respect, etc.... The teachers responsibilities are to teach the fundamentals of learning reading, writing, etc... and the key is to keep the communication at home and school continuous. I have volunteered at this school on occasion and I have to admit parental involvement isn't that high when it comes to needing help, however if there is an event for families there's a good turnout. If current parents of students want to see changes in this school, start by volunteering, attending PTO meetings or just ask your child's teacher what you can do to help, I did and it made me appreciate just what the teachers and staff at Skelly Elementary do on a daily basis.Parent Review7y ago - Undercroft Montessori School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average6th year as a Zarrow Aguila! Bitter sweet to see my Aguila fly off to middle school. She has had a time of her life and 5th grade graduation ceremony is ready to send her off as a well rounded, prepared young lady. Diversity around her makes her proud of the uniqueness she has to offer. Loved every day of class and every single teacher and staff, current and past, that school had offered. Always willing to help child and never losing child's best interest. PTA! Wow! Hats off as well. PARENTS AND TEACHERS, true meaning of working hand in hand! Thank you!Other Review7y ago - St Pius X School

The teachers work incredibly hard to meet the needs of all of their students, whether they are excelling or struggling. I highly recommend St. Pius!Parent Review8y ago
