Council Grove Elementary School

This principal discriminates against special education kids and doesn't follow the state laws. She bullies special education children and parents. She doesn't follow state laws. She is cruel to kids with special needs.

My middle child and my oldest went to their first in-person school day here today..And my middle child it was her first day of school in general...And some other boy and girl pushed her said they didn't like her hair( which my children are mixed) on the playground..And I haven't gotten the whole story straight but a student I her class stole all of her school supplies out of her back pack while it was on the back of her chair.Um I will be calling the teacher Monday and get to the bottom of this bc my daughter was so excited and on her very first day of school kids stole from her , hurt her , made fun of her hair...That is NOT OKAY

I understand why this is a "C" school. They change curriculum mid-schoolyear and entertain petty behavior by sending messages through children instead of directing issues to the adults. I really wanted to like this school, but this will be my daughter's last year here.

Most of the teachers are good it’s the people talking about different parents when they leave and talking bad about the kids to other teachers like a kid stinks they have nothing better to do then judge people I don’t think they should work around children and they don’t care about there family that had surgery and they didn’t know if they were going to make it through it I should of took my kids to school and not be there with your family member knowing they might not make it

I am a substitute teacher at Western Oaks Elementary. It is obvious that students here at taught by creative teachers who work hard to achieve results. My children are adults. I would be happy for any one of my 8 grandchildren to go to this school.

This is an awesome school. My son is thriving and looks forward to school each day. He is learning, growing and I feel like the teachers and staff genuinely care for him and encourage him in all areas. I’m so excited the school goes up to high school now so he can graduate from here. 5 out of 5 rating!

We started our affiliation with the Academy last year and I couldn't be more pleased with the whole experience . My child( in high school) stated this was the best teacher of the school experience. The teacher is challenging and Godly and I will say creative in many respects . Yes, they are on computers...but now my child has that skill as well and in this day and time the computer skills are necessary . The reality is that in the future in college , job , etc. - you need to know technology . And I will say , this school is affordable . Your child has the experience of competing/socializing with other students in academic exercises. Then the school offers, for my high school aged child, challenging chapel services, physical education , music and much more . I feel blessed that my child can have a Christian education that I can afford . I have nothing but superlatives for the Academy .
