I have two children that attend school in Atoka. I have been very pleased with their teachers. The facility is in terrible shape, but they recently passed a school bond to build a new elementary school.

What a difference a year can make! Our classrooms are to capacity which is a testimony to the quality of education and changes that were needed to make our school on top again. If we can get a new school building we will be unstoppable! Love Atoka Elementary School!!!

I think the teachers are extremely cliquish. Parents are really discouraged from being involved at all.I have tried to be very involved and feel as though I were a nuisance or bother, parents arent allowed in the classroom period. The doors on the classrooms are kept locked so there is no open door

The only thing I have learnt from this school was the definition of disappointment. I cannot go far into specifics. The Atoka School has their own food pyramid! The categories are : extremely greasy, raw, expired, or N/A(we ran out of food). My African American friend got in trouble for saying that the principal was bald, when it was OBVIOUSLY a Caucasian who had said it. Its not even slanderous! FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS PEOPLE! HE IS BALD THO! He lacks the brain power to properly spend funds. If I had the option to become the principal, I wouldn't think twice! I, A freshman, could do a better job.I am sorry for any grammar and/or spelling mistakes. English IS my first language, I just went to Atoka Schools.
