Posted by a student on 9/24/2013I know i'm not the only one who feel this one about the school. Sorry but whitehall yearling high school is not that great.
Posted by a student on 9/4/2013This school is a really good school but the teachers and the rest of the staff are a joke. They wanna believe the lies that come out of the students mouth and have it put in the paper instead of calling the parents or grandparents and getting both sides if the story. I use to love this school and the teachers and staff now I don't care for them.
Posted by a community member on 7/30/2013Wonderful staff and students alike. Both try their hardest to get successful students. Some teachers have a hard time getting to all their students within their class period though. Teachers have schedules posted on their doors so that the kids can come ask questions when they cannot during Enrichment (study hall). Tuesdays are specially for reading in Enrichment to help the kids' reading/English ability grow. Principal S is the best I've had. Very accepting and hard working school all around. Just 3 years ago we were in Watch and now we're a B rated school! I hope to see more from the future generations of students as I have seen much from just my point of view. And I am a Class of 2014 Junior.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids attend Shady Lane. They have already been in three school districts: Reynoldsburg, Licking Heights, and now Columbus Public. I must admit, we find ourselves no more satisfied or dissatisfied with the level of education here than we did in the higher-performing suburban districts. In fact, I would say I receive more frequent communication from teachers and staff at this school than the previous ones. Better yet, this is the first school my kids have gone to where they haven't complained about getting bullied. Their academic performance through upper grades still remains to be proven, but so far I feel as though they have adequate resources and support to learn. No school can raise your child, they can only teach. As a former educator, I know all too well that just being in a good district will not guarantee you're assigned to a good teacher. Furthermore, not all teachers will get along with all students. We actively chose to switch to Columbus Public Schools so that we would have the flexibility of moving schools if necessary, or finding good tutors, or spending more time helping our kids with homework. The framework for success exists here, and there are far more options than there are in the smaller districts. It's worth seeing for yourself!Parent Review2y ago - Kae Avenue Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBad school, it is very difficult to earn teacher's trust and they get mad for the smallest reasons. Only two out of all the teachers are actually decent people, the rest of them are mean or annoying. Their budget is really low and charge slot for the simplest things.Student Review2y ago
