Rootstown/Mabel Schnee Bldg Middle School

My daughter gets great grades never gets into trouble but is begging me to leave the school. She is hurting emotionally Her heart has been crushed on more than 4 occasions by her teachers comments about other children she is always crying about how mean her teachers comments are in the classroom. She is being ridiculed and so are others and i am going to remove her now because her self esteem is to the floor. She qualifies for a free lunch but they want to give her water out of there rusty pipes instead of juice because i didn’t want her to purchase junk food because of her weight since she has a well documented milk allergy after calling all of the schools within a 20 mile radius, not one of them said they would deny her Juice with proper documentation of her allergy. But other children that she knows has milk allergies are served juice in front of her this has been going on for to long. She says she wants to cry every time she is in the lunch room. It makes my stomach sick to send her to this school everyday. This old school has asbestos and yellow water that comes out of drinking fountains and no real ventilation systems. Children with asthma will be aggravated in this atmosphere. When i came to pick her up because she had a bad headache i could smell a chemical that smelled like paint thinner that was very strong and i sent her to the car and i walked down to the tech room and seen no windows open at all and the smell was overwhelming i was sickened at there lack of responsibility not using chemicals properly in a well ventilated area. any child walking down that hall could have went into a full blown asthma attack. I kept my daughter out of school for a couple days because she had headaches and nausea here come find out that this was going on for a while

best school in Cleveland area. They actually took time to help my son during the lunch periods and after school, and the staff is polite. The staff doesn't pile him with homework. The office helps my son open his locker when it jams. I saw a big improvement in his grades and his attitude. The counselor helped him when he was stressed. Everyone in Rootstown is polite, especially the schools. ROVER PRIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one will take the time to show my daughter how to open her locker and the office woman is usually the one who opens it for her but shows her frustration with her everytime. Its sept 28th now and she still doesnt know how instead of showing her this time like a genuinely good person she scared her by telling her that i was going to go to jail because i havent got a chance to get her paperwork to the school from the Dr yet since she is recovering from Pneumonia. she became paniked and scared and she was crying when she got home asking me if i was going to jail. I have been nothing but nice to the people in the office but this school system is the most gossiping school system especially in the elementry so word gets around since each school is right next to each other. I have never felt good about sending my childeren here they treat my childern differently my daughter that looks white and has blond hair is treated like gold but my special ed daughter that is white but with frizzy hair is treated badly and cause they r unsure they ask about her race and its none of there buisness i hate these schools
