Posted by a community member on 5/28/2023Ravenna is a welcome happy medium between a rural school like Southeast which my children attended previously. And Cleveland schools which I attended as a kid. There's nothing wrong with Ravenna School District and a lot that is right.

Posted by a community member on 5/4/2017after ONE year at this school we knew we had to open enroll our child in a different district. The building and amenities are antiquated, the teachers are barely qualified and under experienced and the principal REFUSES to listen to any complaint or suggestions...if you have any alternative, I would highly recommend NOT sending your child to this school..especially if they excel at any subject, since their GT program is a joke and they only seem to focus on the kids that have issues or behavioral problems. I am surprised they even earned 4 stars.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!!!They do NOT prepare you for college, academics are horrible, dumb down all the work so they can get you out of there and graduate. No homework is given and the work there is so sub parr. They do nothing about bullying and discriminate heavily. Will give you detention for ripped jeans but don’t do squat for bullying. Way too strict and enforce way too many rules on everyone. Students are seen as criminals. School is ran way more like a prison than an actual career center. Kids who want an actual education are better of staying at their high school where they can actually prepare for college.
