Fairfield Elementary School

All three of my children went to Slate Ridge Elementary with the last one finished up 4th grade last year. The teachers here are fantastic! My youngest had an IEP from preschool through 1st and they helped him so much he no longer has that IEP and is scoring well above state and school averages! They were great with my older two as well.

As a former student of Saint Pius, I would not recommend this school. I went to Saint Pius from first to the first part of my eighth grade year before I got kicked out for no reason. There are decent teachers, albeit some better or worse than others. But the one thing that this school just can’t get right, is how to treat others kind and fairly and discipline kids properly. Collective punishment is loved at SPX even in the situations where punishment is serious and should be for the problem child. I wasn’t motivated to learn while I was here, and mentally, they suck with helping certain kids when they’re getting bullied, harassed, upset, or anything else you could think of. I’m being honest here, and ofc everyone has their own experiences, but this was mine. I was pretty much a straight A student, I’d never gotten a behavior report or detention, and yet I spoke up about an issue in the classroom with one of the kids and they did nothing. After my mother had talked back and forth with the school and asked them to do something about a VERY SERIOUS issue with one of the kids in my class, they sent a letter that me, my sister, and my family would no longer be allowed on campus. All for doing the right thing. So just keep that in mind before sending your kids here.
