Read what parents are saying about New Albany Primary SchoolThe teachers are very committed to the children's learning process.
Posted by a parent on 6/7/2022If you don’t live in white fences you are looked down upon. Makes my heart sad for my child. 6 years old and I pulled her for getting bullied.
Posted by a parent on 4/27/2022I hear so much about safety concerns in schools around the nation, and I am so glad that my children go to New Albany Schools. The campus feel and the safety of the buidlings makes me feel secure. This is a great learning enviornment. I highly recommend this school. If you have the opportunity to send your children here you should.
Posted by a parent on 5/21/2014I can't believe how much better my children did on their tests since moving to this school. We moved from Maine and I was very concerned. Happy to see they are thriving.
Posted by a parent on 4/28/2014We also just moved here from CA Bay Area a couple months before end of 2011/2012 school year ( a very diverse population.) The hugely abundant New Albany staff (compared to CA schools) is very welcoming and accommodating. Gifted program seems very comprehensive, and staff spent lots of time testing and retesting my daughter, struggling a bit with the move. They also were very accommodating to my son struggling with the move. Both my kids are very very happy and successful this new school year, and a lot is due to the staff's attention and care. As far as diversity ( or lack of) I feel it is simply a product of this Midwest environment and it's low diversity population. I don't think it's fair to judge a lack of diversity in this context. I will say that the district sure asks for a lot of money! maybe the cost of a good public education in this economy.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son attended this school last year and the year prior and is currently at the 2-5 building. The experience that we had far exceeded my expectations. I was at the school once weekly and I was always impressed at how respectful the teachers were to the students and vice versa. Not only does this school exceed academically, but they place a lot of emphasis on social skills, respect, managing emotions, cultural and religious differences and tolerance of others. My son never complained about going to school. He loved every day and his teachers both years were wonderful. I noticed that there were a few comments regarding too much parent involvement. I don't get that. Many schools would give anything to get the parents more involved. Regarding the teachers' inexperience mentioned by another reviewer. Most of the teachers are young, but seriously?! They ALL have bachelors degrees and 68% have a masters degree or higher. Judging teaching ability by age is prejudiced and inaccurate. I wish more people would spend some actual time in their child's school before they start finding things to criticize.Parent Review11y ago - New Albany Montessori School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis institution will make your child hate school from an early age. The teachers are very mean and unprofessional. I am so glad we escaped this hell. Breaking code silence!Parent Review1y ago - Ready Set Grow

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am an over-protective mother that toured ten different centers before choosing Ready Set Grow and we have a range of experiences from good centers to not-so-great ones. Ready Set Grow is as good as it gets!! Each member of the staff is kept well-informed of each child's needs and I am consistently impressed (even after an entire year!) with the level of care that my children receive as well as the actions of each of their teachers. My son has several severe allergies and Ready Set Grow is the ONLY center that has never made his allergies an issue for me. From the moment we stepped foot in this center my 3 and 4 year old have been well cared for. Every member of the staff, both instructors and the administration, cares about the well being of your child and your family! This isn't just a center where your children are looked after. This is a center that encourages learning and developmental growth and it is a place where your children will flourish without a doubt! Both my son and my daughter have noticeably grown in a way that they would not have had they been anywhere else but here. When I go to pick them up, they beg me to stay just a little longer! I am so incredibly grateful to have found Ready Set Grow. It truly is the best decision we could have made for our kids!Other Review7y ago
