Mayfield Center Elementary School

When i was there the teachers were rude and didn’t explain material well and would not answer questions the way they taught. The kids were nasty and stuck up. There was way too much drama that the teachers wouldn't help with only the lunch lady would. This school has no money, and wont get any more tissues, crayons, markets, pencils and so much more they can’t provide for the students who attend. The school at points is infested with mice, and some time ants. The only good people there were the lunch lady the head principal and Ms. Dye. Ms. Dye is the sweetest person ever and she offers so much love and support to the students. The lunch lady is always making sure there is food and helps sort out problems. The head principal always has a smile on her face and is comforting to everyone. Though she is strict she is so kind.

Very poor communication and program. No one was able to give answers, teachers are polite but poor academics.

Terrible especially with transportation and getting hold of somone was a nightmare

This school has gone down hill every year since COVID and they don’t seem to want to get back to the subject at hand which is the education and safety of our children. The priest is more focused on dollar signs and moving up the ladder at the diocese even though there have been more than half a dozen requests to have him reassigned! The principal is stuck cause she works for him and they don’t need to answer to a board of education for things like bullying, coach/student conduct/racial profiling, etc. They just write it down and say we will look into it. If that’s what your want to put your kids in then go for it but they are the most expensive Catholic school in the area and definitely not the best by long shot- at least until they get rid of their priest who cares only about the bottom line and not the children.

The education and attention our child receives is wonderful, and we are confident she is being set up for success in high school (and beyond). Our only regret is that we didn't move to the area sooner.
