Read what parents are saying about Mansfield Spanish Immersion SchoolOverall I would rate MSI 4 1/2 stars. Funding has been cut tremendously, so the kids aren’t going on important field trips like before. My daughter has attended MSI since kindergarten and she is currently in 7th grade. I would highly recommend this school, especially since the city of Mansfield lacks cultural diversity.
Posted by a parent on 1/20/2020Our school is a community within itself where the parents know each other, the kids, their siblings, etc. It isn't just the parents, this holds true with the staff and the kids. We exist, function, and operate as a whole which is why we are so successful and more like a family than a school.

Posted by a community member on 11/13/2014The school grows each year and now serves prekindergarten through sixth grade. Class sizes are generally small. Teachers are caring and professional. All teaching K-2 is done completely in Spanish, upper grades mostly in Spanish but some English in reading and language arts. Great parent organizations that organizes several fun evening events each year. This is a school for families that want their kids to have the very highest education and are willing to help out in lots of ways. Our family could not be happier with the school, the staff and the educational opportunities here.

The opportunity to have my son learn a second language at such an early age was something I could not pass up. The school is growing each year. The staff is wonderful and expectations are high for the students. The academics and standards from the state (just done in Spanish) are met. This is an excellent school, which is the same grade they received on the state report card.

They will be ostracized the moment they walk into that school. And bullied relentlessly until you leave the school terrible Administration. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved from a district on the west side of the county known for huge class sizes, young teaching staff, and pulling in large open enrollment numbers -- and lots of bullying. Discovery School took my child who had loved school and lost that love and gave him the joy of self-directed learning in Genius Hour, fed his love of nature and natural learning in Woods class, given him a deep perspective and framework for building thinking through units of inquiry. He gets bummed now when he DOESN'T have school instead of wishing for snow days. He's now above grade level in reading and math, and feels like he belongs, is cared for, and that this is his place.
