This is a school in a nice area and would have lots of potential. But, MANY updates need to be made to the buildings, grounds, classrooms and on. The church is Superb! Father Larry and staff are AMAZING. The school itself needs a FULLY new vision, some new staff and a new leader. While I appreciate history and long time staff, it doesn't seem to be working here anymore. Communication needs ramped up BIGTIME.

We have been very happy during our years at St. Columban. The focus on Faith Family Future are clear. We know our children are developing their faith in a loving family-focused environment with strong academics. The foundation built at St. Columban has given our oldest the tools he needs for successful high school years. I anticipate the same for my current students after graduation from StC. We are thankful for our experience here.

Spoken from a minority student that went here for 8 full years, the social aspect was extremely difficult in so many ways that I cannot easily describe. I didn’t know what racism was until at age 6 was when I had to experience it, which followed several years in isolated incidences. But please if you think your child cannot handle being a racial minority, I would refer to send your child to loveland public school instead. Even if your child is not a minority, I truly advise you if you still wish to send your child here; from the bottom of my heart, please expose your children to some sort of diversity or educate them on the world at home at the very least. Kids, especially younger kids, stared at me because I’m pretty sure I was the first person of color they’ve ever seen in person. Normalizing diversity at that age instead of avoiding it can immensely enhance your young child of being a well-rounded, well-respected individual in their future. Sincerely, A bobcat grad

Not so great to be honest. I do not want to be unrepresented in this review or have the school delete this comment please. But I just felt like it’s easier to not send your kids here if they do not align with the political and racial majority. Other than that, great school to raise a new family.
