Longfellow Middle School

This is one of the most terrible places you can send a child that requires special treatment...the students get a 1/2 hour lunch break, and the teachers get an hour....so it was too hard for them to figure out a way to keep my child indoors during recess....simply because they were not going to be able to sacrifice a 1/2 hour of thier lunch period for my sons health...my son has cold weather asthma, I had 3 doctor's notes faxed to them and each time they gave me another reason why that note was not to thier standards. My son went to a different school for k-1 and we didn't have any problems keeping him inside for recess when it was lower than 60 degrees...but for some reason this school did?? Is your lunch hour more important to you than my sons health, and if it is why are you a teacher, a principal or a school nurse?? Why did you choose a proffession that demands responsibility for children? I am simply discusted with this school, I think it's discaceful that they have a four star rating....and I have no doubts as to what my child potential is, however I have serious doubts about this schools potential!!

The principle is very rude. If you want your child at a school that does not care about bullying this school is for you.

That is so strange. My child goes to Larkmoor and had told me a few times about not being able to eat lunch and missing recess because of missing school because she was sick. And I watched with my own eye's a teaching grabbing a child my their clothing and yelling at them for trying to jog past a group of kid's who was making fun of him. It broke my heart when my daughter told me that the she was getting picked on and the teacher calling her a baby all on the same day. Needless to say as a parent there was nothing that could be done. No one in the office cares and the secretary is very mean. We do plan on switching schools next year because of that. It's a shame I am not the only one who is going through this.

Absolutely terrible! This school should be investigated for the way they talk to and treat the students. Its so sad to see what this new principal has done to this school.

do not care about the children going to the bathroom on themselves. will not help your 3 or 4 year old with wiping and will not allow your child to bring in wipes so they can clean themselves. Let me son sit in his poop and did not make me aware of the situation. very disappointed because we pay full tuition. very said that they do not care about the students!
