My daughter went to Ridgewood from 2nd-5th grades. It was a wonderful school with AMAZING teachers, however, the principal Mr. Buchman is the absolute worst. I am not sure how he got a job as a principal, he should not work with children at all. He bullies them. If he is there take your kids anywher

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience as a former parent at St. Andrew School is possibly one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Safety is nonexistent. Bullying is quite rampant (even the principal's kid was hit). I tried to do things the correct way, sending emails and filing SafeSchool reports, but the principal kept blowing me off and giving me excuses like "the video cameres weren't working" or "[my child] was seen laughing after he hit her". I finally had enough. If you are not in the "in" crowd, you are screwed. No special education services for gifted kids, just guidance counselors. Although I will say the guidance counselor will listen to you. Parents, coaches, and administration are such snobs.
