Hilliard Bradley High School

My experience has been great so far! The teachers are welcoming and extremely nice! The course offerings are pretty good, although I would prefer more advanced classes. The classes are taught on pace and are understandable. The school is safe and supportive of all students. The counselors are really helpful. The only main downside of the school is the bathroom issue. The bathrooms were fine, but then people started messing around with the supplies like the soap. The school had to remove these supplies and even close one bathroom. They put a hand sanitizer station outside, though. Overall, amazing!

As a current student, I can say I’ve had a mixed experience. I’ve been in this district my whole life, but this school has had the most problems for me. I notice on a daily basis students make fun of each other about things they can’t control (race, gender, sexuality, etc.) The worst part is how dismissive admin seems to be. They always say we matter and that discrimination isn’t tolerated, yet they don’t really do anything to stop it. Same goes for their approach to students skipping class and vaping. They all know when and where it happens yet so nothing about it. It’s annoying for everyone to go to the bathroom and be welcomed with the gross smell of vapor and threatening looks from the perpetrator. Teachers and other staff are mostly amazing. There’s a few exceptions that are known around the school but that’s pretty normal in my experience. Our school also has a horrible habit of favoring male student athletes. Almost all the locker rooms are used for their individual sports and some have tv’s in them. The men get this while female athletes share two lockers rooms and have decaying practice areas. There are times where I feel lucky to be a Jaguar. It’s just stuff like this that makes me second guess myself. Honestly, it depends on the day and it’s events in if I’d recommend going here.

My kids recently started after covid-19, so from the starting point I would say the school and staff are very good at communication and providing details on each steps while transitioning kids from middle to high.The facility is state of the art and huge for the Hilliard city, it's newly developed building, so it would nice for kids and community in future.
