The Elyria City Schools offers a wide range of classes for general education as well as many Honors and AP options and dual enrollment classes. They have over 60 clubs that all students are welcome to join. Their band, drama, and other arts programs are second to none. They send children to the top

Examples: A guidance counselor told me to "take the easy A" when I told them my math class was too easy and wanted to advance, halfway through the school year they brought in an "emergency" sub teach
Posted by a student on 3/4/2014I honestly think that they need to treat their teachers better than what they do because they have so much potential and so much they can teach and share with our children who cares if it isn't an 'up to date' way of teaching in the principles book if the kids are learning and enjoying who cares????

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAbsolutely HORRIBLE school learning environment. They allow bullying to go on for years and NOT do anything about it, except to support the bully and their family. Expelling the kid who gets bullied is absolutely WRONG. NOTHING was challenging to my son there for 4 years. They offer NO help for anxiety issues or anger issues or advanced learning. The only Good thing that happened while we were there was his 2nd grade teacher. She was an absolute blessing and ended up retiring the next year, but we were SO grateful we got in her class for her last year. She knew how to make a student feel welcome. The administration is a JOKE. Hiding and covering things up to make the school "look better" is def not What Jesus Would Do. Numbers and Money. Is ALL this school is about. They care absolutely ZERO about the kids. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Experience. I regret EVER enrolling my son in that school. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had 6 Children attend FBCS. We tried 2 other public schools and one private school. FBCS was the best for my children in terms of 'regular' learning and excelled at teaching the children leadership, communication, outside the box thinking and community service.
