Defiance Elementary School

I speak from experience when writing this, DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE. I was severely damaged mentally and sent into a deep depression that nearly turned me from Christ forever. Every time there was a situation or drama of some sort, the children's well being is never a priority. I made mistakes back then because obviously, i was a stupid kid, and they treated it like i had committed a horrible crime, they had the police talking to me and my friends, taking me out of class nearly every day just because we made jokes about a kid "humping a cat" (We were in 6th grade) And they kept on harassing us day after day, particularly me, i still haven't fully recovered from the trauma caused by this school and i have horrible anxiety about every aspect of my life because of what i went through. Save the money, save your child's mental health. Go to public school instead.

Awesome school. Daughter has been attending since kindergarten and am glad I didn't switch her out and let her continue in the 5th grade. St john luthern has a very warm and friendly environment and very understanding of any issues happening in life. I love the Christian setting and teachings. No judgements and make you feel comfortable. Personal attention and smaller classes. Teachers are great and communicate. If their is anything to do to help protect kids from the craziness of life and the typical things of any public school would be to send them to St John Lutheran.
