Read what parents are saying about Kemp Elementary SchoolMy son performs above average in his class, he also has a bit of an attitude problem (he's 5...). His teacher suggested this enrichment behavioral program. I complied because I just want whats best for my son. He thrives in that program. Here's why: there are more than one teacher and its a small class. In his regular class there are 17 students to ONE teacher. He needs a bit more attention than they can offer. His teacher still complains about his behavior and went as far to ask if he was autistic and tried to refer us to south community..... his pediatrician has no concerns about his development. So, in the end he will be going to Emerson Academy. This school does not foster individualism or encourage intelligence.
Posted by a parent on 11/23/2015i went to kemp for 6th grade and it was horrible. the students picked on each other and cussed. while there there were quiet a few fights that went on and someone got closed in a locker. this is why i hate dayton public schools.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would give it no stars if I could. They just collect your money and pass your child right on through each grade whether or not they are ready. If the special ED teacher likes your child she will actually help them, but if not good luck getting your child the proper education.Parent Review6mo ago - Temple Christian School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI absolutely would not recommend St helen Catholic School to any parent who cares about their child education or self esteem. No consequence for bad teacher behavior. Very unprofessional Teachers sit at desk and expect students to be exceptional students but offer no help or guidance.Quick to discipline your child in petty ways. Any educational concerns you have will be flat out ignored, and if your child has any learning disabilities you will not get any guidance from the school or teachers. NO effort or resources from the school to help over come the difficulties but they will blame and shame your child and there inability to meet "teacher standards" St helen school recommends ADHD testing for students often but gives no support after diagnosisThe school needs training and education on how to teach children with learning difficulties. Also needs training on professionalism and common decencyWould give zero star if couldParent Review1mo ago
