Cassady Alternative Elementary School

I have a great experience at Duxberry with my child. My child has been going here since Pre K. They love their teachers and always talk about the new things they learn. They have progressed so much being here and met the expectations for their subjects. They also strongly encourage parents to be part of the schooling experience and volunteer. Can't wait until next school year. Great to know you have teachers that care and dont just show for a paycheck.

If I could put a zero star I would. To start they are teaching at a second grade level to 5th graders. The boys only talk about how they are all gang affiliated. The staff all walk around with attitudes. My son's second day of school was screamed at by a teacher for looking out a window at the end of the day to see if I was outside. Instead of a warning he was screamed at, when he didn't even know it was against the rules yet. Was threatened by supposedly gang members. My son is mixed and says their was no pictures of a white person thru out the entire school. Their is so much more, but long story short, if you want your child to learn how to become a gang member this is definitely the school for you.
