Read what parents are saying about Mt Healthy High SchoolThis is one of the worst school systems in the Cincinnati area. The education is below average and completion of work is not thoroughly encouraged. The teachers are not involved, and will not contact you regarding any academic issues with your child. When you try contacting them 1 to 2 out of 4/5 will answer or reply back to you. Your student could be missing assignments and the teachers will never inform you. I have dozens of emails of me reaching out to the teachers regarding missing assignments and/or ungraded assignments. They do little to nothing to help students with attention issues such as ADHD. When requested by the parent they will initiate plans but never follow through with them. A plan was initiated for my child to pick a sign in letter from HIS counselor every morning to take to each class for attendance. I didn't find out to WEEKS later that he was no longer coming and picking up the sheet. I only discovered this because I inquired about it and the counselor said nothing. The school also did not follow my child's 504 plan by allotting him structured breaks in the form of check-ins with predetermined staff, implementing a behavior-reward sheet, amongst other things.
Posted by a parent on 7/28/2023Do not care or support students and families enough. Mt.Healthy School complains about being short handed and use this excuse for every problem they have it seems like. Need to invest money in programs that will motivate kids to enjoy school. Staff members are unprofessional and do questionable things within the classroom. Staff at this school lacks communication and effort. Student planners were great to try and involve parents but they just stopped. This is one of many things they stopped because of money. Now that they have gotten funding , they are not using money wisely or need a better solution. This school has no intellectual growing and they are okay with kids just getting by in school. They do not share information with students and families that would benefit them in a timely manner. Mt. Healthy School has a lot of unhappy families. Parents take their kids out of Mt.Healthy too much due to lack of educational and emotional support. The school vision is it enforced enough. Kids are not on track or at their grade levels. This school is below average. Curriculum needs improvement. Teachers need to interact with families more, have training classes or interventions to help improve teaching and communication skills. This school needs to be more diversified and better prepare kids for the future. My kids did or do not like their school and has become less involved and doesn’t want to engage in anything anymore. They settle for what they get because they see no change or effort. This problems causes a lot of problems for families. Families are discouraged by this school and take their kids out of this way too much. It’s time to get this school back in top notch shape. This school report card is bad and they need to to make a drastic change sooner than later. Mental Health Services is not given to kids in school. More community involvement needs to be put in place. More resources are needed and a new curriculum would benefit kids. Preparation for college needs a new strategy. They need to hire new teachers and get rid of the teachers who are not doing their jobs. They need to look into all staff members and hire people who are willing to make a change for these kids, not be okay with a passing grade D. Make these kids believe, have hope and achieve. This is the only high school in the district too.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHad an amazing time with my toddler there. The teachers were so amazing at helping with strategies to get through milestones in eating, toileting, naps, and so much more. The teachers are also very well supported by a great staff, which I can't say enough about. This is a really good school.Parent Review10mo ago - Heaven's Treasures Academy
