Maryland School has been wonderful for my family in so many ways—from the family breakfasts to the talent shows and other school events that bring everyone together. The teachers are amazing—so respectful, passionate, and genuinely dedicated to teaching. You can tell they’re doing this because it’s their purpose, not just a job.The community is great too. Most kids walk to school, and it’s common to see parents picking up their kids in golf carts—it gives the school such a friendly, small-town feel right in the middle of the city.As one of the few Black families in Bexley, we’ve felt welcomed and supported here. Maryland is truly a hidden gem, and we’re grateful to be part of this community.

Let me tell you about Columbus Montessori Education Center—this place is something special. From the moment our daughter walked through those doors, I knew she was in a space that would nurture her mind, her heart, and her potential. It’s not just a school; it’s a community where every child is seen, valued, and inspired to shine.The teachers? Incredible. They’re patient, kind, and deeply committed to each child’s growth. They don’t just teach—they empower. They encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence, meeting each child where they are and helping them soar. The environment? It’s warm, bright, and full of opportunities for discovery. Every corner of the school invites learning and exploration, and the outdoor spaces give kids room to move, play, and grow strong—not just in body, but in spirit.At CMEC, my daughter learned to think for herself, to embrace challenges, and to lead with compassion and determination. When the time came for my daughter to move on to middle school she transitioned beautifully to a traditional classroom. She was able to walk into a new school, classroom and lunchroom with confidence introducing herself to peers and teachers alike. CMEC is a place that shapes not just great students, but great people. If you want your child in a school that’s building the next generation of leaders, dreamers, and doers, this is it. My daughter is thriving, and that’s the kind of education every child deserves.

This school is far from what they advertise online. I went into this school hopeful that things for me would change, that I would make new friends, and experience new things. This school isn't a school at all. It's a program that shoves God down your throat, doesn't take your needs seriously, and most of all hurt me and my relationship with my family. If you are considering sending your child here, consider how you can change yourself and the dynamic of your home first. What can you be doing to be there for your child? consider what your child's experiences and needs are in life. This place is a cop out that will not work. It will just drive your children away.

Stay away from this school, stay far away. Look at all other options, shoot, your local public school will be a better choice then St. Catherine's. This school is after your money, nothing else. I can't go into every bit of my experience with this school because it would never be enough to truly capture the awful work they did for my daughter. Again, RUN away from this place.

My daughter was struggling in public school. Teachers wouldn’t listen or help. She excels here. Small class sizes. Extra tutoring available. And most importantly the teachers and staff care about these kids.
