In 1996 this was a very good high school and school district. I attended Bedford City school intermediate through 9th grade then attended three different High schools due to relocating issues. I was about two years academically advanced in comparison to my peers. I returned to Bedford to graduate.

Bedford school district has become a huge joke. I feel the teachers are babysitters, some not very good at that. but they are unable to put their knowledge to use and actually educate the students. I would have rated Bedford a high 3 during my first two years of attendance. By graduation ('98), it would have rated a generous 1, only because half a star apparently isn't an option. I witnessed firsthand the beginning of the end with the hoards of urban youth piling into/out of the RTA (city) bus

I used to think Bedford High School was a good and safe place to send your kids to get a quality education. That changed in a hurry. This whole school system is pretty much a joke anymore!
