My daughter has both types of ADHD, and slight autism. Its not that I have an issue with teachers, but the decisions for this pandemic have definitely not been the best. It is common sense that if you have multiple children, sickness spreads easier. Well, this school is letting children with possibly sick siblings come in. Would it not be easier to send both children home with school laptops? Because they sent my daughter home with hers. I feel very much that because my son doesn't have medical issues, he doesn't act up as much, so he doesn't get sent home. My daughter is supposed to quarantine from the 8th(last monday) to the 17th. Also, they keep kids in school when they have lice eggs in their hair. My daughter was sent home multiple times because she kept getting it, and no matter how hard I scrubbed, sprayed, or did laundry, it came back when my daughter was sent to school. It did not come back over the summer, and the nurse told me it wasn't them so it had to be us. I'm no professional, but I do care about my kids, and I hope that because of this, other kids and parents are not being treated the same. I feel like I care more about this than half the school, and for reference, NO, they DID NOT say if the person carrying covid was a child or staff member. They also had us parents sign papers saying they could give the covid test at school, but the nurse didn't even try to schedule something. If they don't do the swab, why did we get papers?

Excellent. The school has prepared our daughter well for middle school.

Horrible. They don’t care about the students!

I love the teachers and the parent participation. They make sure that learning is a joint effort between school and parents. They have realistic expectations of how students should perform and behave but they give those same students the drive to be their very best.

We had two children at the school from Kindergarten to 4th grade and couldn't wait to leave. The school is fine for kindergarten through 2nd but would suggest finding an alternative to it after that point. Much of the material the kids learn is boring and dumbed down to the common denominator. The principal is not friendly, does not engage you as a parent and has created an atmosphere of us vs. them. I believe her strength is in writing grants but her interpersonal skills are sorely lacking. There a few exceptional individuals on the staff at TJ but there is also a feeling that the staff is overtaxed. My children hated going to school and are happy to be elsewhere. Last year we moved out of state and are much happier.
