School 22 has been a great experience for both my child and our family. The level of student and parent engagement is truly outstanding—they make a real effort to involve families and create a strong sense of community.Academically, I’ve seen such meaningful growth in my child. Her grades have improved, and her progress in ELA has been especially impressive. It’s clear that the teachers are dedicated, supportive, and know how to meet students where they are while helping them grow.I’m very grateful for the positive environment and the commitment this school shows to both learning and family involvement. Highly recommend!

Very rude new principal looked at me up and down when I introduced myself since she never introduced her self in September to anyone. the teacher made fun of my child and Embarrassed in front of the class. Been there about 7 yrs Looking for a better school and location

I would not recommend this school. The staff of 5-8 are extremely rude, disrespectful, and unhelpful. The teachers will shame students endlessly for one bad grade. This degrading makes students feel useless, idiotic, and ashamed. They hand out packets with very vague explanations without getting up and actually teaching. Most of the time, when a student asks for help, the teachers are very quick to shut them down or ignore them. Grading usually takes a long period of time. Most of the teachers complain about their job, blame students for their problems, insult and criticize other students, and more unprofessional and arrogant behavior. The only teacher in 5-8 that ACTUALLY cares about their job is the math teacher. She is dedicated to help students learn and understand. The school bathrooms are terrible. Most of the stalls have broken locks. In the girls bathroom, there is a big mirror that reveals what’s inside the last stall. The soap dispensers are able to open and are busted. That is a danger. What if a student puts something in the soap? The toilets are mostly clogged. The urinals flood often as well. There are almost never any paper towels or toilet paper. The lunch food? EXTREMELY dangerous hazard!! Every year, they raise the prices. The food is almost always contaminated. The people behind the food do NOT care. They refuse to refund for infected and contaminated food. There are various reports about materials in food like metal, plastic, feathers, hair, and other items. Some foods are burnt or undercooked. The lunch ladies also do NOT wear hairnets. Not only is the food contaminated, but also is the school!!! The school students have found many roaches, rats, and mice throughout the school. There are also many photos. I would not recommend you to send your child here if they are in grades 5-8. This is actually PATHETIC. These staff clearly do NOT care about the students or their job! Please don’t come here. It is a HUGE waste of money.
