Our family has been with St Eugene through 2 administrations now. We are by far happiest with our current administration. There are some teachers that need to go starting with the gym coach. Posted by a parent on 4/8/2025Unqualified teachers, Snobby attitude, very discriminatory to any non-white student. Even the so called "specialists" are unqualified. If you are white and catholic, you are ok. I've seen white kids cause way more ruckus but the moment any other child so much as moves, hell breaks loose.

The environment does not feel transparent, and concerns from families are not always handled with professionalism. Important questions about IEP services and instructional support were often minimized or not addressed directly.Scheduling changes and staffing shortages frequently affected instruction, and my child described staff being interrupted or altered at the last minute. This made it difficult for students to feel stable or prepared, especially around assessments.I also noticed that the academic picture presented to parents did not always match what students were experiencing. Grades appeared higher compared to Tachs exam scores, which raises concerns about whether families are receiving an accurate understanding of learning progress.While many teachers seem committed and caring, the tone set by leadership feels shifting blame rather than student-centered. The teachers and staff really care about what each child needs and they communicate with parents on a regular basis about how their child is doing. The technology component of the learning is top notch and there are lots of extracurricular options as well - golf, cooking, chess, and more.
