Roosevelt High School

This school used to be great. It has failed terribly. And if your child has a learning disability, forget it. Please get your kids out of yonkers completely! The staff here is trash. They hate kids who learn different. And the resource teacher is terrible, she ships kids out who need her help!

The school is good and the teachers care about the students well being and their progress. The only thing my son complains about is the Caf food. It is not good, he never eats there anymore because it always gives him stomach disconfort

As a parent, I have concerns about my child’s experience in this school. There are ongoing behavioral issues in the classroom that are impacting the learning environment. My child has described students not staying in their seats, frequent distractions, and a general lack of focus during instructional time. This makes it difficult for students who are trying to learn to stay engaged and complete their work.I would appreciate more structured classroom management so that students can better understand the material and stay focused during class.

I graduated from here last year, and it was quite the experience in my nine years at this school. In middle school, there were crazy fights, kids threw books at eachother in one fight, a girl stormed into a classroom and went all WWE on someone, mind you that girl still attends the school. Only a few teachers really cared, they were great but the ones that truly cared left so, not like it matters. This school has a great special ed program, atleast from what I hear I myself was never in it but they still do agood job giving them what they need eitherway. If you're an alumni of this school good luck trying to visit, I visited a few weeks ago during school hours, I was walked off the property since I didn't know I couldn't visit whilst school was in session, which like okay thats fine. A few weeks later, yesterday at the time this review was posted, I visited again, during dismissal to just see some of my friends who still go there, and then the principal informally trespassed me, so like, okay fun.

This is our first year at the school and both my son, and my daughter have been loving it here so far we love that they always have wonderful activities that parents can be a part of and also I have so much extra curricular activities such as chest archery baking basketball, and so much more we will recommend this school to anyone
