It is the worst school. If you are considering putting your child there, please don't.

My daughter was not comfortable in this school and I don't want to keep my daughter in this school for Grade 1.

My name is Jackie Buongiorno and I have been a teacher at School 23 for 30 years...my main reason for remaining is simple...the students and families who come to our school deserve the very best...and that is what we give each and every day...test scores are not the sole indicator of whether or not a school is successful...a successful school builds life long relationships with the children it is entrusted with...making sure they are respected, cared for, inspired, and most important...taught to believe they have the ability to do anything they set their minds to...I'm not able to respond to the previous comment that mentions my name, but to the student who wrote it, have no doubt that you made a difference in my life just as much as I did in yours.....thank you.

After transferring from a terrible school (school 29 - do not send your kid there) he has grown so much thanks to the hardworking teachers, administration and special education staff at PEARLS. I am grateful every day for the kindness and hard work of the educators at PEARLS. From the crossing guards to the Principal, the empathy and enthusiasm is palpable.

The staff here are just wonderful- extremely loving and attentive. My kids just absolutely love going to school each day. The class structure provides a sense of comfort and my kids just seem to thrive in their learning environment.

I have a 6 grader and a 3rd grader at this school. My children both love their school. The teachers that we’ve had throughout the years have been wonderful and very helpful when needed. We have no complaints, our children have learned so much and are above grade level.
